Any sort of sexual contact without consent is sexual assault. Entering someone’s body without consent is rape. It can be devastating to someone’s life in many ways. The question is: why does it occur and what can be done to keep it from occurring? There are plenty of resources directing people on how to avoid becoming a victim, but, are there no ways that we should employ to keep children from becoming the abuser (as they become older and may abuse someone else)? Is it a cycle of abuse? Are there any connections to other forms of sexual abuse? If so, how do we break the cycle?  Look at the article that discusses why sexual abuse persists.
