OK, the heading of this section used the “foreskin'” terminology in order to rank on the search engines. As noted in the terminology section, this site aims to avoid emotional terminology. This heading is strictly used to get the attention of some readers that still prescribe to the “foreskin” euphemism. There are a couple of problems with the “foreskin” term:

  1. “Fore” implies that it comes *before* the clitorophallus (aka penis) when it is actually a *part* of the clitorophallus. Sometimes only the tissue that hangs past the glans is removed. How does one determine this, though, when the clitorophallus is a part that changes size as it becomes erect and flaccid?
  2. “Skin” implies that the tissue is “only skin.” This tissue includes mucosal tissue as well as skin found on non-mucosal parts of the body. Parts of it contain high numbers of Meissner’s Corpuscles, which are for fine touch similar to fingertips.
